Merry Christmas to everyone. Thanks to everyone for praying for my Uncle Bob. I am still praying for a Christmas miracle. The time I wrote, my Aunt was rushing him to the hospital after he collapsed from lack of strength. Turns out dehydration played a big part. He is still very week from his 3 year battle with cancer. Please continue to pray for a miraculous healing in his life as well as as encounter with Christ at this time.

Lastly, continue to pray for the billions of unreached people all over the world who have never heard of Christmas or the reason it is celebrated. Here is 2007 being a year that even more peoples are introduced to our wonderful Savior.

Darfur

It’s being called genocide — the wave of ethnic killing in Darfur, Sudan. NBC’s Ann Curry traveled to the border between Chad and Sudan to cover the deadly conflict that has claimed hundreds of thousands of lives. Curry tells the stories of people caught in the crosshairs: a mother, an orphan, an aid worker, and others who have been largely forgotten and as the chaos continues. In an iTunes exclusive, Curry talks to New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof about where Darfur is headed, and what can be done. Includes a special introduction by Brian Williams.” — iTunes Store

It is with a very heavy heart that I want to ask you to pray for my uncle who is on his last leg with cancer.? He was to weak to get into a car today to get to the hospital, so an ambulance was called. Please pray that God would heal him of this terrible disease and that he would find Christ in this time.? His name is Bob.? Thank your very much.

Community Christian Church produced these parodies of the Mac/PC commercials. What do you think? Is the term “Christian” becoming so distorted in our society that we need to abandon it and we need to express being followers of Christ with different words? Its common for missionaries to do the same thing in countries where false teachings about what Christianity is abound.

In U.S., fear and distrust of Muslims runs deep
While I believe Islam to be a false religion that holds billions in bondage, I think that the content of this article is tragic. A talk show host, as a hoax, recommends requiring Muslims to wear some kind of identification. He is referring to the arm bands that Jews had to wear in WW2 Germany. He is shocked how quickly their call board lights up with people supporting the idea. A quote from the article:

“The level of knowledge is very, very low,” said Mohamed Esa, a U.S. Muslim of Arab descent who teaches a course on Islam at McDaniel College in Maryland. “There are 1.3 billion Muslims in the world and some people think they are all terrorists.”
